Artist
Statement:
My artwork is my voice. I have as many
styles as I have thoughts and I can't
seem to fill my paintings with enough
intense color. My paintings are captured
moments or thoughts in time.
I
believe the work of an artist should be
a window into that artist's soul. My paintings
expose me and I find it difficult to show
them to the world at times.
I
have not been formally trained. I don't
believe art can be taught. You can take
a class or learn a technique but will
that make you a better artist without
altering the talent God has given you?
A class can teach you how to use the medium
but only God can give you the soul of
an artist.
Art
is like music, some like Opera, some like
Rock, some like Country and no explanation
is needed. I hope you feel something when
you look at these works. I hope you pick
up a brush and respond. The world needs
more art, more color, and more voices!
